DANVILLE, IL-- The Vermilion County Bobcats have officially released their 2021-22 Southern Professional Hockey League schedule. The team will play a total of 56 games, 28 on home ice at David S. Palmer Arena in Danville, Illinois. Opening night is scheduled for Friday, October 15th against the Peoria Rivermen.

The schedule features 15 games against the Rivermen and 13 against the Quad City Storm, setting up a fierce battle between three Illinois-based rivals. The Bobcats will also play 10 games against Indiana's Evansville Thunderbolts, five games against the Knoxville Ice Bears, five games against the Huntsville Havoc, and two games each against the Macon Mayhem, Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs, Birmingham Bulls and Pensacola Ice Flyers. The Bobcats will not face the Fayetteville Marksmen in the regular season.

Vermilion County Fans will have plenty to look forward to on home ice this season, including a home matchup the night before Thanksgiving, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day games, and five Sunday matinee games, which will be followed by Skate with the Team events.
