Internship Opportunities

The Vermilion County Bobcats of the Southern Professional Hockey League are looking for motivated creative thinkers to help execute our elaborate gameday presentation. Based out of David S. Palmer Arena in Danville, IL, the Bobcats have recently completed renovations on a revolutionary audio-visual component in our stadium. We are looking for interns (paid or for credit) to help both create content and oversee operations of our broadcast and in-game presentation. Start date: ~September 6th. Hours will vary from week to week.

Graphic Design intern: Interns are expected to...
- Generate unique motion graphics for Bobcats social media and broadcasts
- Animate logos, copy and images
- Support and collaborate with marketing team
- Must have own access to Adobe or another design suite of programs for remote work
- Ability to attend Bobcats home games a plus, but not a requirement
- Required skills: Efficient work ethic, creative storyboarding, familiarity with Adobe/another design suite, ability to work nights and/or weekends as determined by schedule

Broadcast Operations intern: Interns are expected to...
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of all home broadcasts, including handling camera and audio equipment
- Learn and operate the Bobcats' multi-camera broadcast
- Assist in operating the Bobcats' pre-game projection show and scoreboard graphics
- Work directly with Bobcats broadcaster in preparation for live HockeyTV stream
- Required skills: Punctuality; familiarity with camera equipment; basic video editing skills; ability to work nights and weekends for all 28 home games

Gameday Operations intern: Interns are expected to...
- Organize and execute promotions
- Set up and break down promotional tables and areas on the concourse pre-game 
- Set up and organize promotional giveaways for the night
- Handle all on-ice promotions during intermissions
- Work directly with the Gameday Manager to communicate with other staff members throughout the game
- Other duties as needed
